On June 13th, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in a region of East Asia announced some exciting new plans. They said they were going to speed things up when it comes to setting up more public electric vehicle charging stations. To help with this, they approved a special budget of $32 million that will come from their Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program.
Their goal over the next couple of years is to put in a lot more places for people to charge up their electric cars. Between 2023 and 2024, they want to install 4,000 new slow-charging stations. Those will be good for when you need to charge up but don’t need to do it super fast. The ministry also plans to add 400 new fast-charging stations around the island during that same period. The fast ones will be great for people who are on long road trips or in a hurry to charge up so they can get back on the road.
-Providing a seamless EV charging network experience requires a robust communications network for connectivity.
-There are many technologies for connecting EV charge points, ranging from cellular modems to Industrial Ethernet switches.
-An EV charging solutions provider sought to maximize operational capacities and expand their solutions.
-Outdoor charging stations must be able to withstand dust, precipitation, sunlight, and extreme temperatures.
-Charging stations need to reliably transmit data like charging volume and billing details using the open charge point protocol.
-Functions like remote monitoring and energy management systems need to be integrated with the backend system.

Auto Broadcast Suppression
Auto Pro series industrial switches are equipped with Auto Broadcast Suppression technology, which improves the stability and reliability of industrial networks and allows uninterrupted communication. Auto Broadcast Suppression is an intelligent network management function that can identify and respond to broadcast storms that may occur in the network.
Auto QoS Priority
Auto Pro series industrial switches adopt advanced QoS （Quality of Service） technology to provide superior performance and stability for industrial Ethernet communications through intelligent traffic analysis and dynamic priority adjustment. This series of switches can automatically adjust the priority of packets based on traffic characteristics and network requirements to ensure real-time transmission of critical data. This intelligent QoS prioritization not only improves network efficiency but also effectively reduces response time, making industrial communication systems more flexible and reliable.
Auto Energy Management
Leveraging the Energy Efficient Ethernet standard of IEEE, the Auto Pro series switches can automatically adjust power consumption to suit network needs, reducing energy consumption when the network is unused or lightly loaded, improving energy efficiency, and promoting sustainability without sacrificing performance.
