Case Background

On June 13th, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in a region of East Asia announced some exciting new plans. They said they were going to speed things up when it comes to setting up more public electric vehicle charging stations. To help with this, they approved a special budget of $32 million that will come from their Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program.

Their goal over the next couple of years is to put in a lot more places for people to charge up their electric cars. Between 2023 and 2024, they want to install 4,000 new slow-charging stations. Those will be good for when you need to charge up but don’t need to do it super fast. The ministry also plans to add 400 new fast-charging stations around the island during that same period. The fast ones will be great for people who are on long road trips or in a hurry to charge up so they can get back on the road.
